Unexpectedly, COVID-19 has completely turned our lives upside down. As I begin to reopen my studio doors, I am doing all I can to ensure your safety during these challenging times. With the unknown of when things will return to “normal” or even a version of that, there are a few things that are already known for sure. Providing a clean and safe environment is my main priority, and is even more necessary now.

I am putting extra safety and cleaning measures in place on top of what I already do, to sanitize the studio for my smallest clients and their families. Like many of you, I am taking this virus very seriously. Not only does the risk of exposure need to be minimal for your little ones, it’s just as important for me to keep my own family and little ones safe.

Studio policies & Procedures

no shoes

All clients will be asked to remove your shoes when you arrive, and leave them by the doorway. This not only helps to keep the floors cleaner, but is also a great way to settle in for your session and relax!

Appointment Guests

To protect clients and keep traffic to a minimum, only immediate family from the same household will be able to attend sessions (parents/guardians and siblings). This safeguard allows me to have fewer visitors and ensures that we can best minimize exposure risks.

Vaccinations

Although this is a touchy subject to many, I am an open book in regards to my vaccine status. Frequently I am asked by new and expecting parents if I have been vaccinated on typical yearly vaccines, but also COVID-19. I am up to date with vaccinations including Flu and TDap. To date, I have also received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as well as a booster.

cleaning & disinfecting

I will closely be following the guidelines for prevention and treatment by the CDC. This includes but is not limited to practices that have already been in place. Such practices include:

  • I clean and disinfect all touched surfaces after every portrait session (props, furniture, etc)
  • I wash all soft props after every use (fabrics, wraps, headbands/hats, etc)
  • I will sanitize my hands before and after your session; as well as multiple times during a newborn session
  • Hand washing and hand sanitizer is available for clients, if needed
  • I will be wearing a mask when I am within 6 feet of your newborn for the foreseeable future

sick policy

It has always been my studio policy requires clients to disclose and reschedule their scheduled appointment to another available date if you or a member of your family is ill. This includes but is not limited to a fever or any other symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, or vomiting in the last 48 hours. I am very flexible and understand illnesses happen last minute, so there is no fee to reschedule.

It is extremely important for the health and well-being of all clients to be respectful of this policy. Any clients arriving while showing symptoms of any illness will promptly be asked to reschedule. At the end of the day, my top priority is not only for safety of my clients but my own family and two children as well!
