1. Booking & scheduling
It’s never too early to start planning your custom cake smash experience!
Sessions are available weekdays 10am-3pm, and limited Saturdays between 10am-12pm. Booking is recommended 2-3 months in advance, to allow for proper planning and allowing me time to order any necessary items for your custom setup.
After booking, you will receive a detailed session prep guide and session styling questionnaire so I can begin customizing your custom cake smash experience! There will be plenty of communication with me before your session, so you know what to expect and how best to prepare.
2. Session Styling
Let’s get this party started!
It’s time to start planning the theme and colors you’d like for your setup. Please try to avoid Pinterest, the selection for “one” themed session are limited and many times overdone. I always recommend planning a theme unique to your little one, their personality, and most importantly… their interests! We will work together to find the best fit for your session, and have more fun than you can imagine!
3. During the session
Cake smash sessions are typically 45-60 minutes long. Some babies are more interested and ready to jump right in, while others need some extra time to get comfortable. “Stranger danger” and shyness are not uncommon at this age, so your little one’s cues will set the pace throughout the session.
We will start with one outfit for “clean” portraits, then we will make the jump to the cake smash set. The optional matching bath splash is available upon request and is almost always a hit!
4. After The Session
You will have a sneak peek of your session on social media the same day!
Your images will them be individually hand edited and your full gallery will be ready to view within just 2 weeks via your personal online gallery.
